You will need to log into your account. If you don't already have a username and password you will need to create an account.
Starting at 9.00am and finishing at 1.30pm, Insight into Enterprise and Employability is a full day programme when you will have the opportunity to find out the skills employers look for, and practice them through a series of workshops. Employers and guest speakers in addition to CEEC staff will run interactive workshops where you will work as part of a team to do various tasks to recognise and acquire key employability skills. As you will be in a team and the workshops are complementary, all sessions are compulsory. This course counts towards Lancaster Award.
Comments from employers
“The programme is a great development which will give Lancaster students a head start in the competition for jobs in the business world. An understanding of business planning, cross cultural awareness and learning how to sell your ideas are key skills in an organisation like KPMG. Anything which helps develop these skills and encourages a more entrepreneurial approach to business has to be good news."
“As an Environmental Consultant, Non-Executive Director, part time Lecturer and Vice Chair of Governors, I can well understand the many benefits of this programme. I believe it has a vital role to play in revealing a student’s full capability, preparing them better for ‘the outside world’. It’s often the case that students already have these skills but don’t realise it, which is almost as bad as not having them. The interactive nature of the programme, and the opportunities to reflect using the learning log, are just what’s needed to ‘alert students to their full potential’, and all the exciting possibilities that will follow!”
